Unfinished Kiss

Unfinished Kiss

The kiss that was never finished
In the dream that was unfulfilled
It was still wonderful
Because we're allowed to dream

The silence that encases the room
Of where our conversation once played
Now echoes the faintest sound
And appears, awkward and grave
It was still wonderful
Because I could hear the
Thoughts that you made

Those silly little polite conversations
Those chats and those talks
About nothing really valid
About who did what and where
Something about the weather and what
The man across the street is weaving
Those moments that I would do
Anything to dodge
Those are still wonderful

They offer little mental stimulation
So no real need to pay attention
Laying out the opportunity
To let you see how really beautiful
Someone is and how funny it is
People always have more to them
Than what they let on ...
Isn't it wonderful

Come Home

I stood on the mountain with
my music vial in hand
Seeing you pass me to
the promise land
Can you fill my vial
once more
Not today my song writer
Not today
Just give me your hand
So we soared through
infinity
Where would we land
Not a mountain or valley
Just perfect sand
